New Beginnings
The New Beginnings process for congregational revitalization continues for our congregation. To date, our meetings have been productive and inspiring; we’re having meaningful and hopeful conversations. Not surprisingly, those conversations now lead to a re-assessment of the congregation’s mission.
LCC’s current Mission Statement, adopted just two years ago, includes four specific areas for action. As stated, those four action areas are: “to nurture faith, embrace diversity and serve our neighbors, seeking dignity for all God’s creation.” To discern the relevancy and viability of that call, we are forming four study groups to prayerfully consider each of the areas. The groups will meet independently over the summer and then come together to share their insights, leadings and recommendations. The goal is to sharpen our focus and inspire our passion so that we can offer the vital and vibrant ministry to which we are called. Obviously, the more people engage this work, the stronger the results will be.
